Our founder, Philippe de LaCroix, established his practice
to provide a personal service to friends and business colleagues
who had no contacts in Switzerland but wanted to protect and nurture
their wealth there. In the intervening years we have established an
unrivalled network of contacts and expertise in dealing with clients’ different
aspirations and ambitions for their wealth. Our clientele is generally
by invitation only, usually following referral from other clients already
comfortable with our professionalism and service. We are the last of
the traditional great “Apporteurs D’Affaires” who
dealt with Swiss Banks over the centuries.
There are alternatives to
our service; let us consider these in turn.
First there is the possibility
of making a personal approach. You could go to Switzerland and approach
various Banks there to see if they will accept you. However most of
our client Banks would not generally accept an unsolicited approach
from someone not introduced to them. As well as that, there are over
450 banks present in Switzerland, how would you make your selection?
Will you visit all the banks in Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Basel, Luzern,
Vevey and elsewhere? How much time do you have to spend on the process?
We, on the other hand, know those Banks who truly specialise in Private
Client work. We know the profiles of clients they will accept and those
they will not. We are professionals in this field. Our years of experience
will guide you through the process without aggravation.
As a second
possibility, today you could use an internet
provider, and there are
many! The internet is a great tool no doubt, but will you trust one
of the many firms offering to handle your affairs on-line? We have
clients who have come to us after unsatisfactory experiences on the
web; some tell us they paid fees only to receive forms to make a personal
and un-introduced application for a “Swiss Bank Account”.
Others found the proposal was that they should send their funds through
the intermediary, whom they had never met, and with no guarantee. Still
others found that in return for a fee payable to the online organisation
they would “receive a phone call” from an unknown “Swiss
Banker” who would “talk to them”.
Although we have
a web presence we are not an internet provider. Our office is in Zurich
though our teams work worldwide. We provide a personal service, face
to face where possible, and no exchange of sensitive or confidential
information occurs until you, our client, are comfortable and until
we are satisfied that we can accept you as a client that we can help.
We broker your business on an anonymous basis
to the various Banks we know may be interested, negotiate
with them to try and produce Banking proposals and then help you to
meet the Banks concerned, preferably on a trip to Switzerland -or elsewhere
- where we will personally join with you and steer you through to your
decision and through all necessary procedures. Our
philosophy »
Finally there is the third possibility that
you could be referred to a Swiss Bank by a professional that you know,
such as an accountant or a Financial Services Broker. We ourselves
receive referrals from such professionals who want their clients to
receive the best service and to have maximum choice in selecting a
Swiss Banker the same as you would have in any other aspect of business.
However most professionals will not know anyone they can introduce
you to, (if they could they would already have suggested it to you!)
while those few that do have a contact will have just that, “a
contact”.
Maybe your profile will suit that banker » or maybe it won’t.
Maybe you will be happy using them maybe you won’t. Maybe they
have a good track record of investment performance compared to other
bankers, maybe they won’t. Maybe the contact will be a Bank we
would recommend, maybe it would not, but this option simply does not
equate to our service in broking your business and personally matching
your profile to that of a Bank you will feel at home dealing with and
personally helping you through to investment.
